Curious George

Has anyone ever actually read the original version of Curious George? It is a HORRIBLE book! I checked it out from the library for Caleb, thinking he might enjoy a "classic." First of all, the monkey is happily living in the jungle in Africa, when this man traps him, ties him up in a bag, and takes him on a boat. Then in America, George enjoys smoking a pipe before going to bed! He also gets thrown in jail, escapes from jail, and steals a bunch of balloons. What a great example for kids!
